Kakuzu fired the jutsu at Kakashi and Team 10, but they evaded the attack. Kakashi was at his limit (Sharingan and 4 Chidori attacks already). Hidan complimented that Kakashi is good when Kakashi was able to doge his attack.

Shika figured out that each of the mask animals are hearts of the shinobi that Kakuzu killed. In total, he has 5 hearts. For the animals, he uses his chakra and run it through the heart to gain that shinobi's element ability. One had been destroyed by Kakashi and now they need to take out the rest of the hearts to kill him. Kakuzu once again complimented on how smart Shika is. The Konoha team now needs to hinder Hidan and disable the Akatsuki pair's team work.

Shika wanted to fight Hidan and avenge for Asuma. Kakashi understand and gave the vial back to Shika (I think the vial contains Kakuzu's blood). Kakashi, Choji and Ino will fight Kakuzu. Shika was able to use Shadow Bind again to capture Hidan.

I was watching this show several days ago and notice the actor who plays Tim Riggins -- Taylor Kitsch -- looks so familiar. I look back to my highschool yearbook and there he is...There are two ppl at our school (1999 grad class) who are actors.

It is so very weird to see people you used to go to school with on TV =p

I have the RAW, but I will sum it up later today. It is an awesome chapter for the baddies and Kakashi.

[EDIT] Summary:

Team 10 watched as Kakashi's Chidori pierces throught Kakuzu's earth defense and attacked his heart. Shika said that if they did not defeat Kakuzu first, it will be a problem. They all thought that Kakuzu was down and were shocked when Kakuzu kicked Kakashi when he tried to attack Hidan as well.

Kakuzu took off his Akatsuki cloak and you can see that there are 4 animal masks on his back; one of the mask broke. The mask that broke was around his heart area, it was of the earth element. The masks separate from his body and form 4 different beings (sort of like Sasori's puppets -- Kakuzu controls those beings). The one with the broken mask dissolves after forming. Shika's Shadow Bind jutsu wears off. Each mask constitute an element (bird = wind, ox = lighting and lion = fire). Including the one that was broken off, Kakuzu is able to use at least 4 elements, assuming that one broken off is of earth element and Kakuzu is of earth element himself).

Both Hidan and Kakuzu attack Kakashi. The bird mask attack Kakashi using a wind jutsu. It did not bother to avoid Hidan who was in front of it -- as Hidan cannot die (at least not yet). The other ox mask attack Team 10 with lighting jutsu; however, Kakashi blocked this attack. This blast was powerful enough to dissolve his shinobi vest and headband. His mask was a bit torn as well (but you cannot see his face still =)).

Akatsuki complimented Kakashi that he was the only one who was able to avoid the attacks, because he has the Sharingan. The other lion mask attacked Kakashi using the fire jutsu that is called "Intense Pain".

Kishimoto stated that the official name for Naruto II (i.e. the current arc in manga after the 3 years of training) is --- Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles.

Naruto 330

This chapter is basically the funeral of Asuma. The very sad news reached Konoha. Tsunade wanted to tell Kurenai, but Shikamaru said he will tell her instead.

Naruto is getting the hang of his new jutsu. He is using a shadwo clone to emit the chakra, the other to do the shape manipulation of the rasengan and another one to do the wind nature mainpulation. Because Naruto has the Kyubii chakra, he is the only one who is able to do it. Kakashi and Yondaime won't be able to do it that way. Kakashi told Naruto that he is the number 1 unexpected ninja of Konoha and he is beginning to really really like him =) Kotetsu went to tell the sad news to Naruto, Kakashi and Yamato.

Everyone was at the funeral like the one for Sandaime. Konohamaru is revealed to be Asuma's nephew. Shikamaru was missing from the funeral. He went to the library to lookup stuff and later practiced using Asuma's chakra knives. He seemed to be planning something. Later, Choji and Ino went to meet Shikamaru. They were heading out of the village. Where are Team 10 headed?

Naruto 331
Where are Team 10 headed?

Tsunade was there to stop them. She guessed what they wanted to do. Team 10 wanted to go back to the place where Hidan told them to wait. Shikamaru stubbornly told Tsunade that the mission to capture the Akatsuki is still in affect. The 18 teams are still trying to catch the Akatsuki pair if they return. Shikamaru formed a new team (Ino-Shika-Cho) and is now going to the mission.

Tsunade did not want them to go. She did not want them to be reckless and die needlessly. Shika said that he does not want to run away and live a complicated life where he does not see through things. Tsunade explained that death comes with being a shinobi. There are times when death is hard to accept. But you need to get over it; otherwise, there is no future. She explained based on the death of Dan and her brother. She got over their deaths and became the Fifth Hokage. Naruto made her see that. Shikamaru is keeping Asuma's cigarettes. When he is smoking them, he felt Asuma is with him, protecting them. Until the Akatuski pair is captured, he will keep on smoking. Kakashi suddently appeared and asked Tsunade for permission to join Team 10. Kakashi is hurt due to the training with Naruto. Shikamaru let Kakashi in on the plan.

Akatsuki had sealed the Sanibi and now sealing the Nibi. Ibiki was now interrogating the Bounty Hunter Hitaikizu about the Akatuski pair. Tsunade asked Sakura about Naruto's training. Sakura reasoned that the fact Tsunade allowed Kakashi to join Team 10 mean that Team 7 works well with them. Team 7 will be their reinforcement team. Shizune said that if Naruto did not complete his jutsu, they should send a different team. Tsunade seemed to want Naruto to help them. She ordered Sakura to tell Yamato to complete Naruto's jutsu in 24hrs. If they can't do that, they will send a different team that works well with Team 10. It is my guess that it will either be Gai's team or Kurenai Team 8. Kurenai will surely wanted to avenge Asuma.


Naruto 332

Shika finished summarising the plan to Kakashi. Kakashi thinks to himself how bright Shika is -- how he can reformulate the plan to include him when he only joined recently. They headed off to search for Hidan and Kakuzu.

The Akasuki finished sealing Nibi (guess we will not see any more of her -- Gaara is the only one up to this point who survived the sealing). There are 3 bijous left. Hidan and Kakuzu were going to head to Konoha. Deidara wanted to give them some advice -- There is a jinchuuriki called Uzumaki Naruto. If they ran into him, be careful. Hidan got angry and he said that he is not weak like Deidara who need Kakuzu to reconnect his arm when Naruto blew it off with Rasengan (now we know how he got his arm back!). Kakuzu replied "better than a head" =)...Hidan wanted to go back to the bounty station where they said they will wait. Kakuzu stopped him. Their goal is the jinchuuriki. They don't need to go back where they know they will be ambushed. They took a different path to Konoha. Still, Ino using her mind control jutsu -- Shintenshin no Jutsu (on a bird this time) found them.

Shika used Kibakufuda -- exploding notes -- to distract them. Later he used his Shadow Jutsu to bind them via Asuma's chakra knives. The knives were aimed at their shadows. Chakra knives absorb the user's chakra nature and can produce the same effect of the jutsu for the user. His Kagemane Shuriken no Jutsu is a success. Kakuzu commented how smart Shika is again.

Flashback -- Asuma told Shika that he is the knight. Not much strength, but he can jump over other pieces and move forward. This flexibility is just like Shika's thinking ability.


Naruto 333

Shika got both Hidan and Kakuzu. Kakuzu expelled his arms so he did not get hit by Choji's spike meat ball jutsu. Hidan worried about his arms; but he hardened them so they will not get destroyed.

Naruto got a hold of his jutsu. You see a whole crater, i.e. like the crater when he changed into his kyubii form. Yamato was impressed but he said that he needed to be careful of Sasuke's fire jutsu. His wind jutsu is only for Sasuke's Chidori type attacks. Then he explained the elements and their vulnerabilities to Naruto:

Fire has an advantage over Wind, Wind fuels Fire. Water has an advantage over Fire (put it out), but has a disadvantage over Earth. Wind is stronger than Lighting. Sasuke is both Fire and Lighting. So, Naruto can only stop Lighting, but not Fire. It is a good thing that Naruto is not of Earth type.

Naruto said that he has the right affinity for Sasuke. Yamato thought he misundestand and stated that his Wind jutsu can only stop the Chidori attacks. But Naruto meant that "the only thing that saves a fire is to give it more power -- Wind". This may be an anology -- Naruto is the only one who can save Sasuke. Wind saves Fire.

Back to the fight -- Kakuzu can harden his body. This jutsu is of Earth type. Kakashi suddently appeared behind him and use Chidori to perice his chest. Kakuzu stammered and reasoned that Kakashi is a Sharingan user. He has the speed to read the seal. Earth is weaker than Lighting...Kakuzu got matched with the wrong guy...Now he will die.

[That is why I <3 Kakashi -- he is the coolest one of all!!!] Kakashi displays his true abilities once again.

Next week -- Kakuzu falls. What will Hidan do?
