Naruto 315

Training Naruto:

This chapter is all about training Naruto.

Kakashi's method to train Naruto is to use Naruto's famous Mass Shadow Clone (Kage Bunshin) technique. Still, this is like DBZ...In DBZ, Piccolo divide himself into clones and train.

Each Shadow Clone is an exact copy of the original with their Chakra shared. So, each is capable of performing jutsus. When you release the jutsu, any experience and knowledge gained by the clones will transfer back to the original body. This attribute makes Shadow Clones ideal for recon missions, observing an enemy's camp, infiltration, and information gathering.

Something that would take two days would only take one using a shadow clone. With Naruto's one thousand clones combo, something that would normally take him twenty years would take a week.

Kakashi admitted that Naruto has twice as much chakra as him. If Yamato keeps the Nine-tails in check, it could be 100 times more. Thus, Yamato is also there as Naruto and Kakashi train.

There are five basic types of chakra used for jutsu. They are the five elements - Fire, Wind, Water, Lightning and Earth. These are what the 5 Great Countries (and Kage) are named. Most people's chakra naturally lean towards a certain nature...The Uchia clan were full of people with an affinity to fire, thus, they were exceptionally skilled with fire element jutsu. Kakashi leans towards Lightning - thus, he uses Chidori. Yamato, of course, uses earth element as shown in the Grass Country Arc. Sasuke is of Fire and Lightning element.

Naruto's element is still unknown. Kakashi and Yamato uses the Chakra Cards (made from trees nutured using chakra) to see Naruto's element.

Kakashi:
If you're Lightning-natured, the paper gets crumpled.
Wind-natured, it gets cut in half.
Fire, it burns.
Water, it gets wet.
Earth, it turns to dust.

Naruto's nature is wind.

[After reading this chapter, there were many hints in the earlier chapters that Naruto is of Wind nature.

The most apparent clue it is his name Naruto Uzumaki.

Taken from Wikipedia:

The surname "Uzumaki" is a pun to "spiral" (渦巻). While "Uzumaki" refers more to a tri-dimensional spiral, like a whirlpool or vortex, a more accurate translation for spiral would be 'Rasen'. The Konoha leaf symbol is drawn with an arrow attached to a spiral, the seal on his abdomen is a spiral, the symbol on his jacket's back and shoulders is a spiral, and one of his attacks is Rasengan, which means "Spiraling Sphere".

"Uzumaki" can also mean "whirlpool" in reference to the Naruto whirlpool (鳴門の渦潮), named after the city of Naruto, lies between said city and Awaji Island.

Naruto can mean "maelstrom", and is also the name for a sliced stick of Kamaboko with a pink whirlpool design in the middle that is used as a topping for Ramen (Naruto's favorite food).

Also, in the anime, the first ED song is called "Wind" by 明星 (Akeboshi).
